Advanced SIP Calculator
Most SIP calculators show a headline corpus you will never actually keep. This one nets out fund fees, capital-gains tax, and inflation.
A SIP calculator that shows the number that matters: your corpus after expense-ratio drag, after long-term capital gains tax, and in today’s money after inflation.
Questions, answered
Why is the real number so much lower than the headline?
Three quiet forces compound against you: the expense ratio shaves returns every year, capital-gains tax takes a slice at the end, and inflation erodes what each rupee buys. A headline corpus 20 years out can lose a third or more of its purchasing power.
What expense ratio should I use?
Direct index funds run about 0.1 to 0.3 percent, direct active funds 0.5 to 1 percent, and regular plans 1.5 to 2.25 percent. Switching from a regular to a direct plan is the cheapest return boost available.
